you may plan to advertise your services or product on Craiglist as you know

Because it costs nothing to advertise on
Craigslist, some users tend to abuse the service by posting dozens of spam ads
in multiple cities. Craigslist combats this by requiring users to verify a
phone number before publishing an ad. Once you've associated a phone number with
your account, you will not need to verify it again.

Step 1
Go to the Craigslist home page
(see link in Resources) and click on the location where you want to place an
ad. Click "Post to Classifieds" in the top-left corner of the page.

Click "Log in to your account" to
sign in, or click "Apply for Account" to sign up for a new account.
Step 3
Click the posting type, then choose a category
for your ad. For example, if you're selling a product, choose "For
sale." For services, select "Services offered."
Step 4
Create your ad by entering the posting title,
price and location of the item or service. Enter a description of the product
or service, then enter the email address where you want people to reply.
Craigslist will make your address anonymous so viewers can't see it. Click
"Continue" to proceed.

Click "Browse" to add an image
stored on your computer, then click "Done with images." Click
"Continue" to confirm that you want to post the ad.
Step 6
Enter your phone number at the prompt.
You must use a landline or cellphone with a valid number. Don't use a number
that's already associated with another Craigslist account. You cannot use
toll-free numbers, pre-paid cellphone numbers, certain VOIP numbers or numbers
from outside of the United States
or Canada
Step 7
Wait for Craigslist to call or send you a text
message. The call or message will contain your verification code.
Step 8
Enter the code in the box and click
"Continue" to verify your phone number. You have up to five attempts
to enter the code correctly.
